I'm happy to report that the grocery store confusion seems to have been in fact, a one time deal. I went yesterday and didn't have any trouble filling my cart with all sorts of goodies that will undoubtedly be made into all kinds of fun creations. I did in fact purchase a very large bag of flour, and have come to the conclusion that following recipes, now that I'm back in civilization and have recipes that I CAN follow, is probably not a bad idea. My friend CP that I'm staying with, bless her heart, tells me that she likes my bread. I think it deserves to go in the trash can & be replaced by some light and fluffy something or other. Not sure how light & fluffy it'll be, but I'm going to try 'country bread' a shot next. Possibly tomorrow if I'm feeling particularly ambitious... we shall see!
Good heavens, I need a job -- I'm not sure I'm cut out for this whole 'Suzie Homemaker' bit! I think I'm bordering on going insane and it's only been a couple of weeks! |
